The official lunch of the #ThumbNotFist campaign took off on the 9th November, 2022 in Kaduna - Nigeria, we had representatives from the government, civil society, officers of the civil defence corps and social good ambassadors take a stand in support of the #ThumbNotFist Campaign. LEGASI’s focus was to inform, educated towards sustaining good ethics during and after the season of the 2023 elections in Nigeria.

Over the years, the safety of lives has been a critical issue and ensuring the safety of human life especially for women; before, during and after the 2023 Nigerian General Election and mitigating possible crisis serves as the message LEGASI is pass to the public. This has an extended effect to strengthening Crisis Early Warning Systems and Response Mechanisms.
Our advocacy extends to engaging and coordinating with various state actors to ensure a peaceful elections. Visitations within this period was to the Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kaduna state to ensure adequate security for all during the elections. Others in-line included the State Police Command, the electoral umpire; Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
LEGASI is also continuously creating pathway opportunities for partnership with other critical stakeholders and the predominantly youthful creative industry to amplify the message of peaceful elections through a gamified campaign theme #ThumbNotFist on social media platforms.
