Bege Foundation - Session with Wives of Farmers and Pastoralist

As part of the #EnGAGE Project, Bege Foundation organized an intra-dialogue session with the wives of farmers in Daffo District, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State on June 12th, 2023. The objective of this session was to tackle the underlying and immediate causes of violence by collaborating with the women to gain insight into conflicts from their point of view, and to assist them in devising inclusive, community-based solutions.

The engagement was characterized by a high level of interactivity, engagement, education, and emotional impact, as the women shared their personal experiences and expectations.

The advocacy meetings spanned through other neighbouring communities where the team meet with the Ron Traditional Council and Fulani groups. Also, communities in Rafiki and Dong had advocacy visitation where intra-dialogue sessions with wives of pastoralists and farmers where engaged to promote the values of peaceful coexistence within the community.
